Who is your competition?
Buyers sometimes walk away when they hear there’s another offer, saying they don’t want competition. But you’re always competing in a public market. Another offer doesn’t mean you must bid higher—only offer what the home is worth to you. Sellers can reject all offers and wait for others. The only way to guarantee you won’t get the house is by not making an offer at all.
